TEACHING STATEMENT

My teaching pedagogy focuses on the inter- and transdisciplinal cultivation of knowledge in the field of Arts and  Humanities. I am interested in the uses of Art Studies in making and shaping the critical imaginations of the students as committed citizens of the nation and the planet. In my classes, I foster these interests by encouraging them to critically formulate relevant problematiques  and creative actions,   by nurturing their cultural intelligence and inquiries, and by setting healthy discussions and dialogues. My classes seek to pursue these approaches by examining a variety of topics such as aesthetics, art theory, critical theory,  contemporary art and cultures, quotidian studies, and criticism.
